Flying Penguin Man

Not much is known about this obscure musician from Tokyo that calls himself “Flying Penquin Man,” except for the fact that he has a knack for faithfully creating 60’s and 70’s style pop rock music. His John Lennon-esque vocal style and retro sounding recordings could convince you into thinking that his songs are lost gems from the heyday of the British invasion.

His track “Say to Me!” is sung in Japanese and sprinkled with a few English phrases. Tasty bass lines and sweet vocal harmonies are in no shortage in this one. It’s a beautifully crafted pop rock tune, and it showcases his solid grasp of melodic songwriting. On top of that, he plays all the instruments and sings all the vocals!
